CERC @ UWB
Video Documentary

Here’s a video I produced as the summative project for a course about social documentaries I had taken during the first quarter of my senior year at UW Bothell.

I was grouped with a peer from the consciousness classes. We quickly agreed to focus our film on the consciousness program and the task of approving a Minor Degree in Consciousness. I was also president of the campus’ Consciousness Club at the time and leading the grassroots student movement lobbying for this degree.

I was both lobbying the university and documenting the lobbying efforts. The paradox of these roles revealed a lot to me about media and activism. By the end of that term the degree had been approved (and is now being offered by the university) and this film was received well by my professor. So, “mission successful” on many fronts.
