foundry10
Design Work

I had the pleasure of working for Gabe Newell’s not-for-profit startup, foundry10, as an assistant researcher following my graduation from the University of Washington Bothell. While I was brought on to assist part-time with foundry10’s study about skill acquisition and cognition in Dota 2, I eventually entered a full-time position where I administered the majority of the design and media needs for the organization. I collaborated with researchers, designers, and producers at Valve Software for projects which was enriching. The juxtaposition of working at Valve’s headquarters, being an enormous business, but for foundry10’s programs, being a startup, was a fascinating insight into the culture and operations of an organization. This document includes a selection of some of my work during my time at foundry10.
